I am Armen Vardanyan. I am from Armenia, but now I moved to Poland as I am footballer and played in Pyunik football. Now I play in Wisla football club and have many tituls and medals. I study Mkhitar Sebastaci School in 6-th class, but also go to Poland usuall scholl in Kraow. I have a brothher, who name is Karen.

Rose loved drawing. She was very poor and didn’t have pens
or pencils. She drew pictures in the sand with sticks. One
day, an old woman saw Rose and said, ‘Hello! Here’s a
paintbrush and some paper for you.’
‘Thank you!’ smiled Rose. She was so happy. ‘Hmmm, what
can I paint?’ she thought. She looked around and saw a duck on the pond. ‘I know! I’ll
paint a duck!’
So she did. Suddenly, the duck flew off the paper and onto the pond. ‘Wow!’ she said. ‘A
magic paintbrush!’
Rose was a very kind girl and she painted pictures for everyone in her village. She
painted a cow for the farmer, pencils for the teacher and toys for all the children.
The king heard about the magic paintbrush and sent a soldier to find Rose. ‘Come with
me,’ said the soldier. ‘The king wants you to paint some money for him.’
‘But he’s already rich,’ said Rose. ‘I only paint to help poor people.’
But the nasty soldier took Rose to the king. ‘Paint me a tree with lots of money on it,’
he shouted.
Rose was brave and said, ‘No!’ So the king sent her to prison. But Rose painted a key
for the door and a horse to help her escape. The king chased after her. So she painted
a big hole, and splat! The king fell in.
Today, Rose only uses her magic paintbrush to help people who really, really need
help.

ONCE UPON A TIME there lived a husband and wife who did not see eye to eye. The man called his wife stupid and she returned the compliment. They were always fighting about something or other.

One day, the man bought a hundred pounds of butter and rice, hired a man to carry it on his back and took it home. His wife was furious. “Didn’t I always say you were stupid!” she cried. “What did you go and buy so much butter and rice for? Thinking of holding a wedding for your son, for a funeral banquet for your father?”

“What are you talking about? What funeral banquet, what wedding? Take it and put it all away. It’s for the Carnival.”

The wife calmed down, took the stuff and put it away. Some time passed and the woman waited and waited, but the Carnival did not come. As she was sitting by the door one day, she saw a man hurrying by along the street. She raised one hand to her forehead and called: “Hey, brother, come here for a minute!”

The young man stopped.

“You’re not the Carnival by any chance, are you, brother?” she asked.

The man saw at once that there must be something wrong with her up top and thought to himself: “Aha, I’ll say I am, and see what happens.”

“Why, of course, sister. I’m Carnival. What is it?”

“Well, all I have to say is that after all, we’re not your servants, to keep your rice and butter for such a long time! Aren’t you ashamed of yourself,? Why haven’t you ever shown up to take your stuff away?”

“Why so angry, my dear? That’s just what I’ve come for. I’ve been looking for your house for a long time but couldn’t find it.”

“Well, alright, come on and take it then.”

The man hurried into the house, grabbed the butter and rice, put it on his shoulder and took off for his village.

When the husband came home in the evening, the woman told him: “The Carnival came at last. I gave him back his things and he took them away.

“‘What Carnival…? What things, Woman!?”

“The butter and the rice. . . . I saw him coming along the road, looking for our house. I called him over, gave him a good telling off and had him carry the stuff away on his back.”

“Oh, stupid one. You’ve ruined me! Which way did he go?”

She showed him and the man mounted his horse and rode after the Carnival.

Meanwhile, the Carnival, making good his escape, glanced back and noticed a man on horseback riding after him. He realised at once that it must be the woman s husband. The man rode up to him and said: “Good day, brother. Have you seen a man going this way?”

“Yes, indeed, I did see one.

“What was he carrying on his back?”

“Butter and rice.

“Ah, he must be the one I’m looking for. Did he go by long ago?”

“Quite a time.”

“Do you think I can catch him up if I ride fast?”

“How could you?” said the Carnival. “You’re on horseback, but he was on foot. By the time your horse has taken four steps—one, two, three, four—the man will already have walked away on his two feet: one-two, one-two! Much faster than you!”

“What shall I do then?”

“Well, you can leave your horse with me and go on foot like him if you like. Maybe then you’ll catch him up.

“Yes, yes, well said!” And he climbed off his horse, left it with the other man, and set off on foot—one-two, one-two.. . . As soon as he was out of sight the Carnival loaded his burden on the horse’s back, turned off the road and galloped home.

Our man, however, walked on and on and finding nobody turned round and came back—to find both the horse and the stranger gone. He returned home and husband and wife started fighting anew: the man because of the butter and rice, the woman because of the horse. And they are fighting to this day. He calls her stupid, and she returns the compliment.

And the Carnival listens and laughs to himself.

The wind and the sun are having a disagreement.
“I am the most powerful!” says the wind.
“No, I am the most powerful!” says the sun.

“I can blow trees to the ground!” brags the wind. “I can push ships across the ocean. I can make hurricanes and tornadoes!” 

“Is that right?” replies the sun. “Well, I can melt all the snow on the mountains. I can dry up an entire lake. I can make a sidewalk so hot that it cooks an egg!”

Just then, they see a man walking along the road in his winter jacket .

“Let’s have a contest to see who is more powerful,” says the wind. “Whoever can remove the man’s jacket first wins.” 

The sun agrees.
The wind goes first. He blows a gust of cold wind at the man.

The man shivers and zips up his jacket. “Brrr! What a cold and windy day!” 

It starts to rain. The wind blows even harder and turns the rain into snow.

“Well look at that! It’s snowing!” says the man. “Snow wasn’t in the weather forecast today…”
He pulls his hood over his head.

The wind blows his strongest gust towards the man, but the man’s jacket stays on.
“Hmm. It’s a bit fresh today…” he says. “A winter storm must be coming…” He zips the jacket higher to cover his nose.

“Gah! This is ishines ,” says the wind. He stops blowing.
“My turn!” says the sun.

First the sun shines enough to stop the snow. The man unzips his hood.

Then the sun pulls the clouds apart and gently shines down on the man. Suddenly, it is a beautiful spring day.

“Wow. The weather sure is strange around here!” says the man. He unzips his jacket.

The sun gently wiggles her fingers and increases the temperature.

“What strange weather. Now it feels like summer!” the man says as he begins to sweat. “Goodness me, it’s so hot!”

He removes his winter jacket. He lies down on the grass for a nap in the warm sun.

“I win!” says the sun, beaming.

Little Red Riding Hood lived in a wood with her mother. One day Little Red Riding Hood went to visit her granny. She had a nice cake in her basket.
On her way Little Red Riding Hood met a wolf.
‘Hello!’ said the wolf. ‘Where are you going?’
‘I’m going to see my grandmother. She lives in a house behind those trees.’
The wolf ran to Granny’s house and ate Granny up. He got into Granny’s bed. A little later, Little Red Riding Hood reached the house. She looked at the wolf.
‘Granny, what big eyes you have!’
‘All the better to see you with!’ said the wolf.
‘Granny, what big ears you have!’
‘All the better to hear you with!’ said the wolf.
‘Granny, what a big nose you have!’
‘All the better to smell you with!’ said the wolf.
‘Granny, what big teeth you have!’
‘All the better to eat you with!’ shouted the wolf.
A woodcutter was in the wood. He heard a loud scream and ran to the house.
The woodcutter hit the wolf over the head. The wolf opened his mouth wide and shouted and Granny jumped out.
The wolf ran away and Little Red Riding Hood never saw the wolf again.
